    The MNJRC's annual Re-Imagining Justice Conference is an inspirational convening of a broad diversity of criminal legal system practitioners, scholars, advocates, impacted persons, and community members. Through keynotes, plenaries, and breakout sessions, we create the space to share and learn from efforts to bring the criminal legal system closer to a true justice system. This year we will be "centering humanity over fear" as our theme. We seek to address the pervasive fear rhetoric about crime and criminals and instead use our research and practice to better understand and support the humanity of all while repairing harm and holding individuals accountable to create safe communities. Register here.

    MINNESOTA STATE SYSTEM PROCEDURE FOR PROTECTED CLASS-BASED HARASSMENT, DISCRIMINATION, AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE COMPLAINT RESOLUTION REQUIRES SYSTEM TRAINING TO FULFILL THE DUTIES OF AN INVESTIGATOR.

    TRAINING PURPOSE: To provide relevant, updated policy and procedure information along with federal and state mandated content to ensure process compliance.

    INTENDED AUDIENCE: Licensed attorneys, legally trained investigators, and those with experience investigating in higher education who are interested in providing contracted Investigator services to a Minnesota State College or University.

    Join WILD and the Southern Minnesota Legal Services' Education Law Advocacy Project for a virtual discussion about how Gifted Education in Minnesota reveals a disparate impact on low-income and students of color. This eye-opening discussion will include a personal narrative as well as a panel of education leaders who will discuss how inequities in identification for gifted services can occur, misconceptions and about what it means to be "gifted" and identify policies and solutions that have worked to increase opportunities in talented students from underrepresented groups.     Join Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDIP) for a virtual panel to understand the recent SCOTUS affirmative action decision. Professor Jill Hasaday (University of Minnesota Law School), Jeff Justman (Faegre Drinker), Sarah Lewenstein (Nilan Johnson Lewis), and moderator Sequoia Butler (Arthur Chapman) will break down what the decisions mean and the impact on diversity in the legal profession.
