Daniel Lew is being recognized by the MSBA Public Law Section for his caliber of work, his achievements, and his demonstrated commitment to public service by awarding him the 2017 William E. McGee Public Defender Award.
Daniel is the chief public defender for the 6th Judicial District in Minnesota. He is the first Asian American to serve as a chief public defender in Minnesota, and only the fourth nationwide.
