MNAPABA is committed to full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing nonprofit entities. To that end, and to maintain public trust, and ensure appropriate use of organizational resources, MNAPABA does not participate in, intervene in, or otherwise involve itself in any political campaign or election on behalf of, or in opposition to, any candidate for public office. This applies to all levels of government—local, state, and federal.
Similarly, MNAPABA does not endorse, support, or oppose any political candidate or engage in communication that could reasonably be construed as an endorsement. The organization does not adopt or disseminate political positions or messaging intended to influence voters or election outcomes. Organizational funds, assets, or other resources may not be donated, loaned, or otherwise provided to political campaigns, political parties, political action committees (PACs), or similar entities.
Members, officers, directors, volunteers, and staff may not use the organization’s name, logo, funds, facilities, communication channels, staff time, or any other organizational resources to support or oppose a political campaign or candidate. Individuals associated with MNAPABA may engage in the political process on their own personal time and using their own personal resources. Any such activity must be separate and distinct from the individual’s role or affiliation with the organization and must avoid implying organizational endorsement.
MNAPABA remains dedicated to its mission and to advocating for the common interests of its members in a manner that complies with all federal, state, and local laws governing tax-exempt organizations. To that end, MNAPABA may engage in non-partisan activities designed to educate the public, encourage civic participation, and lobbying on issues while remaining neutral as to specific candidates and/or political parties.
MNAPABA also remains dedicated to celebrating the successes and accomplishment of its members and community, and any announcement sharing such successes or accomplishments with its membership should not be taken or interpreted as an endorsement of that member’s political affiliations, views, or campaigns.
