sh Mishra has been appointed Chief Compliance Officer of McLean, Virginia-based Mars, Inc. Mars is one of the world's largest food companies, with iconic brands such as Snickers, m&m's and Wrigley's. Prior to joining Mars, Mishra spent 15 years as in-house legal counsel at UnitedHealth Group and General Mills, Inc, where he Mishra focused on international corporate transactions.
Mishra is a longstanding member of the Minnesota Asian Pacific American Bar Association (MNAPABA). He served on MNAPABA's Board of Directors from 2001 to 2003 and was President from 2002 to 2003. Mishra was also honored as one of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association's (NAPABA) "Best Under 40" in 2011.
Ash, his wife Kristin, and their two sons (Soren and Milan) will be moving to the Washington D.C. area in 2015.
